Who We Are
Ajaa Home is a licensed residential care facility in Kalmunai, Ampara District, Sri Lanka, built on the belief that every senior citizen deserves to live their later years with dignity, warmth and belonging.
Founded by Judy Arulrajah, we exist to serve the most vulnerable elderly individuals in our community those who are abandoned, neglected or without family support.
Why Ajaa Home Exists
In the Ampara District, there was no dedicated Senior Home. Elderly individuals were left without shelter, support or someone to turn to.
We saw that gap and chose to fill it with love.

A Simple Moment That Changed Everything
A 95-year-old woman walked up to our founder with one quiet request “Could you please help me with getting a National Identity Card so I could open a bank account?” She asked.
That simple moment lit the fire that became Ajaa Home!
